Carianne will be a junior next year at Watchung Hills Regional High School. Carianne sang with Capriccio two years ago as a tenor, and is glad
to now be taking the LEAD. She has also been singing in Hickory Tree Chorus. Carianne and Lauren have been singing together
for a long time - throughout grade school and for four years in both Girls' Harmony, a girls' barbershop group of about 10-15
voices, and in the New Jersey Youth Chorus, a local children's chorus.
Kelly is currently a middle school science teacher, a recent graduate of Kean College. She started singing with
Capriccio as their baritone last year. Kelly's mom and grandfather are also barbershoppers - so she's been exposed to the music. This is Kelly's first experience actually singing the addicting music,
and she's loving it!
Lauren will be a junior at Watchung Hills Regional High School next year. This is Lauren's third year singing bass
in Capriccio. She was one of the founding members of Girls' Harmony, and sang baritone in it for three years and bass
for four. Lauren's mom, Carolyn Schmidt, is a certified arranger and master director of Region 15's 2005 Champions, the Hickory
Tree Chorus, who Lauren also sings with. Lauren also has been playing the piano for 11 years.
Kristen just graduated from Ridge High School. Kristen sang
with Girls' Harmony for three years as a baritone, lead, and tenor. This is her second year as Capriccio's tenor. Kristen plans to further her musical career at Westchester University where she plans to major in Music Education.
